Grain Sorghum Research Moving Forward

Sarah Sexton-Bowser, managing director of the Center for Sorghum Improvement at Kansas State University, commented on the work the Center has been doing since it was formed last year.  Their goal in to increase average sorghum yields from 60 to 100 bushels per acre by 2025.  Besides yields, Sexton-Bowser says researchers are working on reducing the price difference between grain sorghum and corn, and improving cold tolerance and standability.
