Kent Bacus, Director of International Trade with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association joined us on Thursday’s Ag Issues program. The discussion mainly focused on the movement this week on the USDA Announcement of the rules and regulations agreed to export U.S. Beef into China and the approval and shipping of some of the first loads of U.S. Beef heading to China on Wednesday, by Greater Omaha Packing in Nebraska. Bacus also discussed what NCBA would like to see in the upcoming renegotiation of the NAFTA agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He also commented on the delays at USDA in regards to the nominations of top positions by Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue.
