Biosecurity Research Institute at KSU Working to Help Prevent Spread of African Swine Fever Virus in the U.S.

Dr. Steve Higgs, Director of the Biosecurity Research Institute at Kansas State University was the guest on Wednesday morning’s Ag Issues program on 580 WIBW.  Higgs discussed the African Swine Fever virus, and the studies underway at B.R.I. to try to prevent the spread of the virus to the United States.  Higgs talked about how the virus can be transmitted, and discussed some of the global outbreaks of the virus.
