Roger McEowen, the Kansas Farm Bureau Professor in Agricultural Law and Taxation at Washburn University, joined us on Monday’s Ag Issues program. He discussed several cases including one involving damages for injuries in a cow/vehicle accident that headed to a jury. McEowen also looked the latest by the Environmental Protection Agency with regards to the WOTUS rule. He also looked at a couple situations in Nebraska. One involved assessing ag land in Nebraska and what the assessors must use in their assessments. Another involved the Nebraska Livestock Brand Act.
