Grain Markets Continue to be Supported by Unprecedented Planting Delays Across Corn Belt.

Market Analyst Darrell Holaday was the guest on Friday morning’s Ag Issues program on 580 WIBW.  Holiday talked about how the grain markets have been supported by the “unprecedented” corn planting delays across the entire corn belt.  He also discussed supply impacts following bumper crops in South America for corn and soybeans, as well as the continued heavy supply of wheat worldwide.  Holaday also talked about the market impact of new tariffs on Mexican imports just imposed by the Trump administration, and what factors are driving cattle and hog futures.
