Todd Neeley, staff writer for DTN/Progressive Farmer, commented on a series of articles he’s written over the last several weeks on the opioid crisis in rural America.  He said the crisis is real and is destroying lives and families.  Many people addicted to opioids started by taking prescription drugs, and then taking more to deal with pain issues.  Eventually they became addicted, and younger people finding the drugs in medicine cabinets added significantly to the problem.
